General information:

    This event is sponsored by UCoMS, designed to introduce students at SUBR to the wireless sensors network field. UCoMS team memebers with Center for Advanced Computer Studies have setup a multi-hop mesh sensor network testbed at SUBR Computer Science department. Different types of data are collected by the sensors and stored in a database. A participant is asked to down load this testdata file testdata.mdb, examine it, and if possible, also display the result on a computer.

    You may simply follow the intruction Quickstart.doc to particiate.


Prizes:

    The event submissions will be judged by a committee of faculty from UL and SU. Various prizes, including a laptop and a pda will be awarded to the winners. Each one of the first 20 registered students receives a gift of Dane_Elec 512M USB2 Flash memory dirve (see the photo shown above).

How to participate:

    This event is open only to students with Southern University at Baton Rouge, as an individual event. You can enter this event by email. Please register by an email to Dr. Abdus Salam or Dr.Mathieu Kourouma at Department of Computer Science, Southern University, Baton Rogue. You can also email to Rajesh Prasad or Adam Lewis at The Center for Advanced Computer Studies (CACS), University of Louisiana, Lafayette. Your registration is confirmed only after you recieve an acknowledgement to your email.
