Prerequisite:Consent of the instructor.
Additional Suggested Background: Students are highly encouraged
to have taken CMPS/EECE 566, 508, 520, 521, 561and/or 588.
Course Description: This course will be covering various machine
learning algorithms, with an emphasis on distributed variations found in the
literature. Intermixed with the lectures
will be projects, aimed at implementing these methods. The implementations will focus on MPI, and,
time and equipment permitting, Hadoop.
