Abstract

Understanding the nature of common sense reasoning is one of the central problems of cognitive science. This talk will describe how we have been combining qualitative modeling, analogical reasoning, and sketch understanding to model aspects of common sense reasoning. This will include describing a new cognitive architecture, Companion Cognitive Systems, which we are developing to explore these ideas.
