At approximately 1:00 p.m. today, the Senate passed unanimously a
resolution to recommend and authorize the President to award the
MEDAL OF HONOR to Colonel Theodore Roosevelt, 1st U.S. Volunteer
Cavalry.

The only thing that will stop it now is if the President turns it
down.

This will make TR the first President to hold both the Medal of Honor
and the Nobel Peace Prize.
