I started my career at UL in the Fall of 2002. I am passionate about embedded systems and hope to get my students equally excited. This semester for my 583 class, I am eager to show how to design and implement embedded systems. My class will consist of the following:

Ideally, my students will have the knowledge to build their own embedded computer systems.

My laboratory consists of nine PCs, a dedicated LabVIEW computer with data acquisition and control hardware, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and various embedded systems, including Atmel and Rabbit microcontrollers and Virtex and Spartan FPGAs. To the right is a picture of my personal lab at home.

My office hours this semester will be 1:00-2:00 Monday-Thursday, or you may reach me via e-mail.

There are no more openings for RA's this semester. Furthermore, you must have my permission to register for 619 and 590 under my name, or you will receive an 'F' in the course. I am firm in my requirements, however if you feel you meet these requirements, you may stop by my office during office hours only.

With that being said, let's have a great semester.
