| Abstract |
| Conceptual biology research aims to take advantage of the vast amount of published data to enhance the productivity of biomedical researchers. In order to fully realize the potential of conceptual biology, we have designed and implemented a conceptual biology research support platform. The platform generates multiple types of hypotheses in a data mining mode from biomedical literature databases, such as the NLM's MedLine, provides intuitive visualization interface for a users selected hypotheses, and retrieves and extracts information from various heterogeneous repositories to facilitate the validation of those hypotheses. Several future extensions are ongoing for further enhancements of the platform. |
