430(G). DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING (EECE). (3, O, 3).
 
Basic structure of computers: data types, instruction formats, and addressing modes. Simple input/output programming, pushdown stacks, instruction sets and their implementation, memory system architecture, fundamental aspects of the CPU. Introduction to micro-architecture. Microprogrammed and random logic control, mlcroprogramming, I/O organization, channels, buses, computer arithmetic, stack computers and current technologies. Prereq: CMPS 341, CMPS 351 and MATH 3O1 with a minimum grade of C or CMPS 4O5 and CMPS 406 with a minimum grade of B. Fa, Sp.
