08/09, Microchip Center Named for CACS Director

The CVR College of Engineering, a newly established college in Hyderabad, has named its microelectronics lab "The Professor Magdy Bayoumi Center for VLSI Design," after Dr. Bayoumi, the Director of CACS and Department Head of Computer Science. The CVR College is supported by multiple international semiconductor companies such as Intel, SUN Microsystems, and Cadence, offering students a state-of-the art curriculum to meet work force needs.

Dr. Bayoumi gave a lecture at the CVR College and met with many CACS alumni there in his recent visit to India. "It is very gratifying to see the global impact of CACS and UL," Bayoumi remarked.
