The transmission of information from one individual to the next introduces a filter through which the information must pass. The filter should embody the processing biases of the sender and receiver. In this (very preliminary) talk, I'll describe my research on function learning, and my use of controlled cultural transmission. This is a talk about work in progress, about data just appearing from the lab, and about ideas only half-baked.
